Alzinova moves into the BioVentureHub

Alzinova, a Swedish biopharmaceutical company developing disease-modifying treatments against Alzheimer’s Disease, has moved into AstraZeneca’s BioVentureHub in Gothenburg.
Alzinova is specializing in the treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease by targeting the toxic amyloid-βoligomers. The lead candidate, ALZ-101, is in late preclinical development as a therapeutic vaccine for the treatment of Alzheimer’s. Alzinova’s proprietary AβCC peptide™ technology enables the development of disease-modifying therapies that with high precision could target the toxic amyloid-β oligomers involved in the onset and progression of the disease. The vaccine is currently being preparedfor the firstclinical trialin patients with Alzheimer’s disease, at the turn of the year 2020/2021.
